About Us

Black Sesame Kitchen began in 2008 in two small rooms in an old Beijing courtyard shared by eight families. Nowadays we’re known for our personalized cooking classes and our unique Wine n’ Dine communal dinners. We’re not a restaurant; we don’t offer a menu, and we’re not interested in turning tables. When you dine or learn to cook at Black Sesame Kitchen, you are invited into our home and become part of our extended family. Chef Zhang Aifeng and Host Coco Yue, along with our cooking team, bring you a boutique experience in a traditional Chinese setting.
